We’re proud to see our Founder, Laurie Taylor-Mitchell, featured in a recent Baltimore Sun article highlighting Baltimore County’s drive-thru summer meal program.
Laurie spoke about the surging need for food support in our community — especially among children and families. At our last food distribution at Parkville High School, 75 bags of food and essentials were gone in just 40 minutes. Some families had to leave empty-handed. The need is real, and it’s growing.
“As fast as we could put it in the cars, there was another car there. And that’s one school.”
Our nonprofit, the Student Support Network, currently serves students at 21 schools across the County with free access to food, clothing, hygiene items, and care — because every child deserves dignity and support.
