Our “A Night For The Network: At The Carnival” Was One For the History Books!

We’re so grateful to all who came “Under the Big Top” to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Student Support Network—an incredible milestone made possible by our dedicated volunteers, generous sponsors, and passionate supporters.

Together, we toasted a decade of impact, honored the stars who make our work possible, and raised essential funds to continue helping students across Baltimore County thrive.

We were delighted to have so many community partners, public officials, and BCPS leaders in attendance, all showing their commitment to ensuring that every student has what they need to succeed.

Special thanks to our event speakers and leaders:

Emcee – WMAR’s Ja Nai Wright
Honorary Chair – Scott Shapiro, Executive Vice President, Sinclair Broadcast Group
Keynote Speaker – Preston Mitchum, Jr., Author and Baltimore County Advocate
Impact Speaker – Elliott Flam, Student Support Network Volunteer
Student Support Network Executive Director – Wendy Stringfellow
Board President – Ron McDade

And a heartfelt thank-you to our incredible A Night for the Network Committee—Vicki Almond, Kate Sparks, Isaac Sparks, Michelle “Gigi” Corbett, Laurie Taylor-Mitchell, Ron McDade, Matt Doyle, Jennifer Simon, and Wendy Stringfellow—whose dedication brought this festive evening to life.

We are deeply grateful to our corporate sponsors and family event sponsors for their generous support, and to all of the volunteers who helped make this milestone celebration such a success.

Thank you for helping us celebrate 10 years of impact—here’s to the next decade of supporting Baltimore County students together!
