Our Founder and President Laurie Taylor-Mitchell joined Baltimore County Government Executive Johnny Olszewski and Baltimore Community Foundation President & CEO Shanaysha Sauls at a press conference to announce the distribution of $2.47 Million in emergency grant funding awarded to local nonprofits through the Baltimore County COVID-19 Nonprofit Recovery Grants Program.
We are incredibly grateful to be one of more than 50 nonprofits to benefit from this program. As Laurie stated in her remarks, for many people living in poverty, the continuing COVID-19 crisis not only keeps things from going “back to normal,” but makes life even more difficult than before. Student Support Network is emboldened to use our grant funds to reach more children than ever as the school year begins next week, providing the supplies, food, and personal items that are so necessary for concentration, learning, and well-being at school.
