The Student Support Network is deeply grateful to the Randallstown NAACP Education Committee, and Dr. Barbara Dezmon, for a great evening of entertainment performed by Isaac Parham, Ebban and Ephraim Dorsey, and renowned Gospel legend Vickie Winans.
In addition to vital fundraising, the event provided opportunities to raise awareness of the Network as well as celebrate the contributions of notable leaders to our mission. Honorees included Senator Ben Cardin, State Senator Delores Kelley, Bishop Walter Thomas, Sr., Congressman John Sarbanes, Congressman C. Dutch Ruppersberger, Ms. Malvilyn Statham, and Reverend Tim Tooten (who also served as MC).
In recognition of those individuals and the Network, SSN Board President Ron McDade, Board Member and Founder Dr. Laurie Taylor-Mitchell, and Executive Director Wendy Stringfellow, were joined by MD Senate President Pro Tem Malcolm L. Augustine, MD House Speaker Adrienne A. Jones, State Senator Charles E. Sydnor III, and Baltimore County Council Chair Izzy Patoka. Ms. Tiara D. Booker-Dwyer, Chair of the Baltimore County Board of Education, represented Baltimore County Public Schools. The Network also received citations from State Senator Mary L. Washington, County Council Chair Izzy Patoka, and County Executive John A. Olszewski, Jr.
