Lead Volunteers: Mary Wolf and Leah Schultz

Owings Mills Elementary joined the Student Support Network in August, 2019.
Owings Mills Elementary has students in grades K-5 with a current enrollment of 754 students. Of these, 66% live in severe poverty: 498 qualify for Free Meals, 278 depend on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and 26 are currently identified as homeless. Many others live in families who make too much to qualify for meal assistance, but not enough to make ends meet. Owings Mills Elementary was the first elementary school and the first school in the northwest of the county to join the Network.
The lead volunteers are Mary Wolf and Leah Schultz, who will work with school staff to fulfill student needs and stock and organize the room for students, now known as the Kindness Closet.
