Support the Student Support Network and add a little extra excitement to your evening with our raffles!
Single entries can be purchased for each raffle, or increase your odds by getting 5 entries for the price of 3. Raffles will be drawn live at A Night for the Network on October 16. You do not need to be present to win—night-of, we’ll assign raffle tickets to your entries and include them in the drawing. Winners will be announced on social media and contacted after the event if you aren’t able to attend. It’s a fun way to participate and make a difference—even if you can’t join us in person, your raffle entries directly support the Student Support Network’s mission.
The stage is set—we are excited to welcome Ja Nai Wright from WMAR-2 as our dynamic Emcee, ready to keep the energy high all night long!
This year’s A Night for the Network: At the Carnival is made even more special by the energy and spirit of our community—and by those who help bring that energy to life on stage.
We are thrilled to welcome Ja Nai Wright as the Emcee for this year’s event. A Multimedia Journalist and Reporter with WMAR-2 News, Ja Nai joined the team in 2023 and has quickly become a trusted voice in sharing stories that impact the Baltimore community. Originally from Atlanta and an alumna of Alabama State University, Ja Nai’s career has taken her from covering state legislatures and tornado recovery to anchoring morning news and highlighting stories of resilience and history.
Beyond the newsroom, Ja Nai has a passion for exploring new places, traveling with family, and connecting with people wherever she goes. Her warmth, enthusiasm, and storytelling talents make her the perfect guide for an evening filled with celebration, impact, and community spirit.
The big top just got even brighter—introducing our amazing Honorary Event Chair for this year’s fundraiser!
This year’s A Night for the Network: At the Carnival wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of our community — people who care deeply about our mission and want to make a difference.
We’re proud to welcome Scott Shapiro as the Honorary Host of this year’s event. A longtime advocate for education and opportunity, Scott’s dedication to building strong communities aligns with the Student Support Network’s mission to provide food, basic necessities, and advocacy to support the well-being of Baltimore County Public School students in need.
In his professional life, Scott serves in a senior leadership role at Sinclair Broadcast Group, where he helps guide strategy and growth. His leadership and commitment to making a difference make him a meaningful part of this special evening.
