Thank you APGFCU for joining us to pack 1,000 period product kits to support students across Baltimore County. Your time, energy, and compassion are helping ensure students have access to essential items so they can show up to school with confidence and dignity.
We couldn’t do this work without community partners like you. Thank you for making a real difference!
APGFCU posted the following statement on Facebook on February 12:
“This week, our arrow is still pointing straight toward community.
On Wednesday, February 11, we continued our first-ever Things We Love Volunteer Week by partnering with Student Support Network, where 50 APGFCU employees packed 1,000 period kits for Baltimore County students. Student Support Network provides food, basic necessities, and advocacy to support the well-being of Baltimore County Public School students in need.
Our focus Wednesday was period poverty: the lack of access to safe, hygienic period products. It affects health, dignity, and learning. Many students miss school because they don’t have the supplies they need, and we wanted to help change that. Together, our volunteers filled, sealed, sorted, and stacked kit after kit, each one a step toward helping students feel supported, confident, and ready to learn.
We’re proud to stand beside our community partners and help young people move their futures forward, together.”
