MLK Day Of Service 2026 – In Action!

MLK Day Of Service 2026 – In Action!

Yesterday, we were honored to partner with United Way of Central Maryland for their MLK Day of Service, coming together in the true spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of service, equity, and community.

Together, volunteers packed:
🛍️ 500 weekend food bags to help families facing food insecurity
🩸 500 period packs to ensure students have access to essential feminine hygiene products

By working together, we are actively fighting food insecurity and period poverty in Baltimore County, helping students arrive at school nourished, confident, and ready to learn.

We are deeply grateful to the elected officials who joined us and showed their support for our students and families:

Delegate Adrienne Jones
Senator Benjamin Brooks
Lindsey MacGregor, Representative for Congressman Johnny Olszewski
Delegate Cheryl Pasteur
County Executive Klausmeier
Kenny Brown, District Liaison for Senator Ben Brooks – 10th Legislative District
Scott Shellenberger, State’s Attorney for Baltimore County

A heartfelt thank you as well to the incredible women of Alpha Beta Gamma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated for their continued partnership and service.

This is what it looks like when community comes together.
