We Are On The Air With WYPR’s Midday!

We’re honored to share that our founder, Dr. Laurie Taylor-Mitchell, was featured on WYPR’s Midday with Tom Hall discussing food insecurity and poverty impacting students in Baltimore County.

In the segment, Dr. Taylor-Mitchell shares how the Student Support Network has spent the last 10 years supporting students through our Rooms of Support — including the beloved “Kindness Closet” — providing food, clothing, school supplies, and hygiene items to thousands of students across 21 partner schools (with many more waiting to join).

With 13% of children in Baltimore County living below the federal poverty level, this conversation is more important than ever.

We’re so proud of this milestone and grateful for the continued support of our community as we work to make sure every student has what they need to learn, grow, and succeed.
